Domino server issue

[0F5C:0002-0F84] 12/15/2014 09:41:18 PM  Configuration Error: Server record not found. The Server Name in ID file , does not match any Server found in the Domino Directory in the ($Locations) view. Check that the Server name field in the Server record i
s a hierarchical name.
[0F5C:0002-0F84] Server exiting: The Domino Directory does not contain a server document for this server.

 

Please help me to get out of this error....

I believe the text in the message is telling you the problem.
1. The Server ID file you're using is for a server that doesn't exist in the names.nsf
2. If somebody deleted that document you'll want to restore it
3. Check that you're pointing to the right id file in the notes.ini

Thanks for the response, 

1. the server.id is not deleted it is under domino directory.

can u please tell me the steps in clear  for the issue as i am beginner for domino .

Server.ID vs Server

The server ID file is an ID file which is usually found in the Domino Directory.  By default it is called  Server.ID.  Many Administrators rename the ID file to reflect the name of the server which the ID file represents. The server Document is a document located within the Address Book.  This is the document which holds the servers certificate, and allows the server (& server ID) to authenticate with the address book and other servers.

Server.id is in the Domino\DATA directory

On any server that I've ever managed, the ID file is in the DATA directory, not the Domino directory.
