Read messages from a second mailbox

Hi all,

I'm a beginner user of IBM Notes 9 Social Edition, I tried to find a solution for my issue searching the web but I found no useful result.

In my company, each employe has its proper mail account, I see and access it from my working area using the mail application, now what I would like to do is to read messages sent to a different account.

This second account is a sort of support account, so customers send messages to it and it is accessed by different people in the company, but they all use the web mail.

So, I would like to add this second account in my working area or in a different one, inside my client application, for my needs It would be enough if I could only read messages, so I don't want to send messages from that account.

Thank you very much for your help

Raffaele

Add a shortcut

I always found it easier to add a shortcut so that it shows in the 'Other Mail' dropdown located under your folder list. This way the link is available in iNotes as well as Notes.

Click 'More -> Preferences'

When the Preferences dialog opens, click the 'Access & Delegation' tab, then the 'Shortcuts to Others' mail' tab.

Click the dropdown next to 'Create Shortcuts to open the mail files of these people', and add the names of your shared mail accounts there.

Click OK.

Close & reopen your mailbox and you should now see the links.

Really thanks Mark!

Now my problem is that when I click on the new configured "second" account, an error appears in a pop-up stating that I am not authorized to execute that operation.

How can I solve that? Should the owner of that account authorize me, how?

Thanks
