Hello,

I have a Domino Server v9.0.1 FP5 on Redhat Linux 7.1. I have configured the IDVault and now i am facing two problems.

1- If i reset a password for a user it does not take effect on the client

2- When i try to extract a id file from the vault it gives me the following error  "Access to Data Denied"

I found nothing on google in this context.

Kindly help resolve this matter.

Re: Unable to Extract ID From the Vault
Hello Abu Ammar!

It seems the the user account doesn't have permission to store id-file on local or network share.

This error can occur if the Administrator's OS (operating system) account does not have the rights necessary to create files in the directory specified
To resolve the issue change the "Location for Storing ID" to a path where the administrator has the rights to create files.
A good test is to attempt to create a text document in the desired location before attempting to register a user to test if as the user you have the necessary permissions on the OS level.

The TN below shows additional information about the error message:

Title:    Error: 'Access to Data Denied' when registering a new user in Domino
URL:    http://www.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21605670

I hope it helps!

Best Regards!

Unable to Extract ID From the Vault check policies

ID vault is controlled by the security settings document.

Check the settings regarding changing the password and if not taking affect check that the user has the correct policy applied locally. multiple policies can overwrite these settings.

Do you have the auditor role assigned, even as the vault administrator this needs to be manually assigned in order to extract IDs from the vault.

Any other issues I'd recommend opening a PMR with support.
