I believe I have Directory Assistance setup, but it is not working as I would expect.  I have a database created from template StdMasterAddressBook4.5.  I have this configured,

Make this domain available to: Notes Clients & Internet Authentication/ Authorization.  I also have my directory databases listed in the Domino tab

From a client or browser, only names listed in names.nsf are offered as suggestions.  I have 2 other databases with addresses in them and none of them are offered as suggestions.

I followed https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/en/SSKTMJ_8.5.3/com.ibm.help.domino.admin85.doc/H_EXTENDING_NOTES_NAME_LOOKUPS_LDAP_QUERIES_AND_AUTHENTICATION_TO_SECONDARY_DOMINO_DIRECTORIES_2650_STEPS.html

Address lookup using Directory Assisance

Thank you.  The link was helpful.  Turns out on the Basics tab the Domain Name was not unique.

There is still another issue.  In the Directory database, on the Domino tab, I have 2 entries.  One for Replica1, and another for Replica2.  Different names.  Are the entries in this list suppose to be just that?  Replicas?  These are names of two completely different databases.  The second once does not show with a show xdir command.  If these are truly suppose to be replicas of the same database, then how do I add one more database the Directory Assistance?

Thank you for your time.

Regards

try

To accomplish the above, copy or replicate the remote Name & Address Books (NABs) to your local Domino SMTP server. Then do the following:
I. Set up Directory Assistance.

  1. Create a database called DA.NSF, using the Directory Assistance template (DA50.NTF).
  2. Click the "Add Directory Assistance" button.
  3. In the Basics tab's "Domain name" field, enter a unique domain name for the NAB in which you want to create the DA entry. (Use a domain name that is not already being used as an existing domain.)
  4. In the "Company name" field, enter the name of the company name (this is for information only).
  5. In the "Search order" field, select a priority.
  6. Make no changes to the fields in the Rules tab.
  7. In the Replicas tab, either (A) create a link to the address book (suggested), or (B) enter the name of the Domino server on which the NAB resides (your local server, in this case) and the name of the database. Set the "Enabled" field to "Yes."
  8. Click the "Save and Close" button.
  9. Repeat the above for each NAB, excluding the NAB for your local domain (Domino knows already to make use of it).
  10. Open the Server document for the local Domino SMTP server.
  11. In the Basics tab's "Directory Assistance database name" field, enter the name of the newly-created database (DA.NSF).
  12. Restart the Domino server (so that changes can take effect).

So I may create multiple Directory Assistance documents in the Directory Assistance database.  Sorry, that didn't even occur to me.

Thank you.
