Database Lock

We have been struggling with databases locking.  It appears that the nserver.exe and cluster replicator both have a handle to the database at the same time.

The only way to resolve this is to restart the server.  Afterwards, the database that was locked if corrupt.  Fixup, compact, etc. will not correct the corruption.

Database Fixup: Unable to fixup database F:\Domino\data\xxx.nsf: Invalid or nonexistent document

Please advise.

Re: Database Lock
Hello Matt!

How do you identify that a database was locked?
What error message is presented?

Best Regards!

Re: Database Lock

Our colleague may be seeing this: HTTP Web Server: IBM Notes Exception - This database is currently in use by another person or process, and cannot be accessed at this time.  In order to share a Notes database, it must be accessed via a Domino Server by all users of the database. Other processes can be in contention such as DAOS and clrepl, HTTP and dbmt, etc. Another possibility is that the database is transactionally logged, and there are errors like the following: LkMgr BEGIN Long Held Lock Dump and rm_lkmgr_cpp:2029.
