Linux Notes Client Tab Icon

I have recently migrated an installation from Windows to Linux (Ubuntu/Mint15).   The user experience is very good and there are really very few issues with adapting to the change in platform, with one small exception,   When Notes 9 is first started, the icon in the desktop tab is the new blue notes icon.  However, as soon as a sametime chat session is started, the icon for notes changes to the sametime icon.   If a user has multiple programs as well as several sametime sessions open, it can be a challenge to quickly identify which tab contains their email.   If all of the sametime windows are closed, then the icon reverts back to the regular icon.  It is a trivial issue, but I can't find a solution nor am I sure if this is a Domino or Linux issue.

re: Linux Notes Client Tab Icon

Kit,

I am sorry no one has responded to you and it's been over a month.  I anticipate the correct answer is that this is "performing as intended" because I see this exact behavior on multiple versions of the LN client on Windows XP, Windows 7, and RHEL 5.x.  I see one key advantage in that I can tell at-a-glance if I have received a ST message because the icon changes.  It also lets you know you have completed and closed all chat windows (by reverting, as you noted).  I do understand your concern.  I am not aware if there is a setting to change this.  Perhaps someone else will notice this post and respond.

Good Luck!
