Extra spaces when printing documents in Lotus Notes 8

I think this issue is caused by the embedded browser (a new feature in version 8).
As a workaround, you can disable it.
To do so, go to:
File - Preferences - Basic Notes Configuration - Additional Options and select (check) "Disable embedded browser for MIME email.
