Error when adding new calendar

When I try to add another person's calendar I get the following error:

'Notes IPC Asynch Message processor(1)' has encountered a problem.

An internal error occurred during: "Notes IPC Async Message processor(1)" .

the Details button also has this text:
For input strin: "ork".

If I then close and re-open my calendar, the additional calendar is listed, but after the progress indicator finishes then my calendar goes completely blank.

The issue occurs whether the off-line option is ticked or not, and occurs with both Notes and Google calendars.
