Subject: Notes Client Networking question
Feedback Type: Problem
Product Area: Notes Client
Technical Area: Functionality
Platform: Linux client - Ubuntu
Release: 8.5.1
Reproducible: Always

I already posted this late in the 8.5.1 beta forum but I was wondering if anyone has any insight into this as it predates the 8.5.1 release:

In my notes client, when I leave a network and go into standby, then come out of standby and connect to a new network (leaving Notes open the whole time), then try to work within a database that I left open, it always fails to connect after about 30 seconds, then I can get try again and it works right away.

Workarounds:
1. If I use ctrl-break after a few seconds I don't have to wait for it to time out and it works
2. If I go to preferences-notes ports and trace the server, I can connect right away

Question:
1. Does notes cache network connection information instead of relying on the OS networking stack?
