I am developing an app to do network documentation. In a network, we have these things called Distribution Frames - or DF or short. The DF holds the patch panels and sometimes routers and switches.I need a way to show that two of the DFs are connected together. I want to be able to set the connection and have it show in both DF documents at the same time. And, if I make any changes to the descrition of hte connection it should reflect in both DF documents
My fist idea was a single category embedded view with a separate "DF connection" document. In this document, you would set the two DFs being connected (lets call these fields DFA and DFB) along with a couple other fields. I created a single category view and set column 1 to be @Explode(DFA:DFB). This works fine. The second column however is the tricky part. How would I set it to be the value NOT in the category column? So, when column 1 is the value of DFA how do i make column 2 be the value of DFB and when column 1 is he value of DFB how do I make column 2 be the value of DFA?
It doesn't HAVE to be done this way. I just need a method to show that the two DFs are connected.
Any ideas?
