Subject: Notes Configuration Settings have been refreshed
Feedback Type: Question
Product Area: Notes Client
Technical Area: Administration
Platform: Windows
Release: 8.5.3
Reproducible: Always

Abouty 15-30 seconds after users fire up their clients, the client freezes for 15 - 30 second then unfreezes. We see the 'Notes Config Settings Refreshed' in the task bar.

I believe this is probably expected behavior. The issue is that, for us, this seems to have just started in the last 2 months or so.

I am not aware that I made any changes to the server or client configs. We see this on both the thin and full client. It seems to affect everyone.

I only have a couple of policies in place but they've been there since we migrated to 8.5.3 a couple of years back.

I've let everyone know this is expected behavior but I'm wondering if it's possible to disable this behavior or change when it happens.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Doug

Comments: PowerBroker (manages user rights) caused the problem. When we turned PB off, the lag disappeared.
