AD vs NAB

Hi,
If I understand this correctly ….
If user in AD has an LTPA token, they don’t need to be present in the Domino NAB.
If that is the case, do they have to be manually added into NAB groups to be granted access to secured databases .. ?
Or do I need to use an integration tool such as IBM® Tivoli® Directory Integrator to populate required Active Directory information into Domino
Apologies for all the questions but this is all new to me I’m afraid.
