Documents not sorting properly by date(decending order)

Reproducible: Intermittent

When a user attempts to sort the documents in his mail box by date (ascending order) documents are sorted properly .

But when he attempts to sort the documents in his mail box by date (descending order) the documents are not sorted properly

For example if there are documents having a date of 01/01/2006 ,01/01/2009 and 01/01/2011

a few documents whose date is 01/01/2006 are listed first . After that 01/01/2011 documents are listed . After that 01/01/2009 documents are listed

The total mail file size of the user is around 10 GB
