3) Federated calendar support is initiated by the Notes client. In the Notes client you need to include the external calendar and then tag for offline viewing with the "View this calendar when offline..." option. Unfortunately the way this works in Notes Client is it is a snapshot in time, I.E in order to update you need to select the "View this calendar when offline..." option again in the Notes client.
