Subject: How PERMANENTLY disable Sametime awareness in Lotus Notes Basic?
Feedback Type: Question
Product Area: Notes Client
Technical Area: Functionality
Platform: Windows
Release: 8.5.1
Reproducible: Unknown

I use Lotus Notes 8.5.1 Basic.

Last week I asked how to remove the extra space in the Inbox "Who" column.

http://www-10.lotus.com/ldd/nd85forum.nsf/7756aedc25e6d81285256324005ac76c/2d02b7cbfff271b2852578b80063f8cf?OpenDocument

I was instructed that if I deselect Sametime awareness that the extra space would disappear. This worked after restarting Lotus Notes.

However, everytime I reboot the Sametime awareness is back. When I deselect it, the setting does not "stick."

The process I've been using to deselect Sametime awareness is: Preferences > User Preferences. Expand "Instant Messaging" on the left. Click "General", and then deslect "Show instant messaging status for names".

Any ideas?
