Similar issues here. I installed first time no problems at all on my Macbook Pro. When I tried to install on my home iMac I got the same symptoms having to go backwards and forwards to get the Continue button to not be greyed out. Once the continue was clickable, I press it and the installer just quits on me. The logs show that it is due to a bus error.
