More MX Relay Info

So I read on a forum post (don't recall where, actually lost the link), that domino will only try the next MX record if it can't establish the initial connection to the relay. Because my server can establish a connection with seluimxhigh.X.com, and the connection is only refused when it gets to the TLS handshake, it won't try the next MX record.

Can anyone confirm or deny this?
