We stripped off the Symantec backup agent and Notes seems to be one happy fella...
We're going to let the Notes client run for an hour and see if it remains functional.
Then we'll re-install the agent and see what happens.
It's important to note that these systems are used by our mechanical engineers and these guys run tons of software at the same time. If re-installing the Symantec agent kills Notes, then we have a root cause. If it doesn't then we're going to just have to start loading up the rest of the apps and see which one (or combination of apps) causes the problem.
Luckily, the system owner has the day off so we have time to be creative!
