Subject: DNS with Mail Relay server
Feedback Type: Problem
Product Area: Domino Server
Technical Area: Functionality
Platform: Linux server
Release: 8.5.2
Reproducible: -Reproducibility-

We have the ip address of a biz server in the list that tells domino to allow this server to use domino as relay server. Recently 1 out of 10 emails sent from this server get kicked back with a
"451 Unable to complete command, DNS not available or timed out"
The server that's sending the email is a Windows Server running Activant Prophet 21 software. Our normal Lotus users don't have this DNS issue. So the question is, who is responsible for DNS resolution for a message sent from a Relay server?
They have different DNS settings then every one of my servers. My guess is it's an issue on their end, not ours but need clarification..
Thx
