Subject: Notes Server Name cannot be resolved to the proper IP address
Feedback Type: Problem
Product Area: Notes Client
Technical Area: Accessibility
Platform: Windows
Release: 8.5.2
Reproducible: -Reproducibility-

We have set up a new Mail server(Mail01/Server/Toronto) on production. There are two ports setting up on it. One for public usage(TCPIP) and one for cluster(Cluster).

Here is the ports info in the Notes.ini:
TCPIP=TCP,0,15,0,,12288
CLUSTER=TCP,0,15,0,,12288
TCPIP_TCPIPADDRESS=0,10.25.17.1:1352
CLUSTER_TCPIPADDRESS=0,192.168.1.5:1352
Server_Cluster_Default_Port=Cluster
CLUSTER_TcpConnectTimeout=0,5
Ports=TCPIP,CLUSTER

When we switch Home/Mail server in the location document to this server, we cannot access the other domino servers from the Notes client. We do a trace from the Notes client and the trace returns the cluster IP address of the destination. We expect the return address would be 10.25.xx.xx, but it returns 192.168.xx.xx. Thus, the connection fails.

Trace Log :
Determining path to server MAIL02/Server/Toronto
Available Ports: TCPIP
Checking normal priority connection documents only...
Allowing wild card connection documents...
Enabling name service requests and probes...

persists.)
Server MAIL02/Server/Toronto is not responding

We can ping the destination and get the 10.25.xx.xx with no issue, telnet to the destination server via port 1352 also works.

If we create connection document in the local address book, then it works. But after the client is restarted, then it fails again. And we do not expect to create connection document for all the domino servers for all the users on this server.

We also see that there is more traffic on the Cluster port on the new server than on the TCPIP port.

Any idea where goes wrong and how to resolve this issue? Thanks.
