Very slow indeed. Over an hour for the incremental in my case...

Absurd amount of time required for the incremental install of FP4 for Notes/Designer/Admin (Standard). The generated log file shows it took over an hour to go from 8.5.1 to 8.5.1FP4! (and that was with anti-virus disabled, on an i7 with 9GB RAM). Something is clearly wrong. To make matters worse, the progress bar didn't move from zero for the first 60 minutes or so. Only with a few minutes left did the progress bar actually indicate something was happening. Ugly, ugly update process. If you can, avoid the incremental and just go with the full install/upgrade package.

Perhaps of importance, I chose the option to leave the incremental update files on the hard drive (in order to run the install again), Maybe the FP installer has a problem with a non-default path. Just a guess. I'm not about to go through this yet again just to re-test.

Anyway, full sequence of events:
1. tried standard client FP4 upgrade (windows). After 20 minutes, no indication of activity or progess, and no CPU usage to speak of, so I assumed--as others have in this thread--that it hung, so I clicked "Cancel" and then a confirmation that I wanted to cancel. Eventually a dialog appeared that indicated the install had stopped an no changes had been made...
2. Tried again, and this time the incremental upgrade would only uninstall...so proceeded with that.
3. Tried again, and once again, it was taking forever. Over an hour later, it eventually indicated success. Taking that long can't be right. Given the problems thus far, I assumed I had borked things by cancelling midstream back in step #1...so decided to start over...
4. Uninstalled Notes
5. Installed Notes (Standard) 8.5.1
6. Disabled anti-virus in case that was the bottle-neck.
7. Tried FP4 update/upgrade. This step alone took over an hour! Not my imagination either, as the log corroborates that extreme time frame.

I realize there's a significant number of files updated with FP4 (the Technote mentions an update of dojo, which is supposed to add a few minutes). Still, something is wrong for it to take as long as it did for me (and others).
