Actually a double whammy...

...you're trying to run on Ubuntu 8.10 (instead of 8.0.4) - we're getting reports of non standard behaviour that we're checking into - 8.10 is not supported for Notes 8.5.

...and on a 64 bit environment.

It would be interesting to know which is causing your issues.
