This app is used to manage calibration events for tools we use in manufacturing. I'm in the process of adding features so several status fields in the parent (tool definition) document are updated when a scheduled cal event document is completed. Since I'm testing various status combinations, I periodically need to set tools to an expired calibration state and this is what seems to be throwing off the 'update the parent ui doc' code.

Workflow
Open child, set cal date to 'before today', save/exit, then run an agent to set the parent and all child docs to a status of 'expired'.
When I then update the child (complete the calibration event), the code re-lands on the original child and updates it then exits to the desktop rather than opening, updating, and saving the parent in the UI.
If I exit the db after running the set expired code then reopen the db and child, the code in the response doc runs as expected.

It's as if the code I run to set the status to 'expired' somehow causes Notes to lose the ability to find the parent by its UNID.

This case is something users would never see since the 'set to expired' code runs in the middle of the night.
