...its exactly the kind of input we're looking for.
The initial release of ultralite mode has had to stay focused upon providing access to the most important data and critical functions. Our goal is to enable users to view their e-Mail, Calendar and Contacts, compose and reply to messages, create/edit new Contacts and perform some Inbox management. Many of the features you've listed were considered for this release but did not make it in due to schedule constraints. We're looking for input from you all on which ones are most important and how best to prioritize them. If you had to order the items you listed in your post, how would you rank them? Which would be the top three you'd like to seein a future release?
A lot of progress has been made with ultralite since its inclusion into this Beta. The layout has been cleaned up, features have been fleshed out and the UI design has been polished to fit better into the iPhone environment. The decision to go with a full page rather than fixed top and bottom regions was made to optimize space and because the iPhone doesn't show scrollbars for frames containing overflowed content until you are actually touching the subframe.
