SSJS not working

i forgot...
i tried to write a SSJS on the onclock event, it was like this:
//chr is string variable containing "
v = database.getView("qvUsers");
v.SelectionQuery = chr + "SELECT .....FETCH FIRST 10 ROWS ONLY" + ;
v.refresh();

and i put partial refresh on my View control...


it update the view data but not the selectionQuery --> data still the same...

..
