Subject: mac client - attachments multiplied and .dtf file added
Feedback Type: Problem
Product Area: Notes Client
Technical Area: Functionality
Platform: Mac OS X
Release: 8.5.2
Reproducible: Always
Hi folks,
We're suffering the after-effects of a recent macbook air infestation among senior management at our little establishment. I had a user today who was experiencing problems with word .doc attachments from his mac going out with .hqx files. I've seen this one before and was able to help him set the MIME Settings on the location document to use Base64 and AppleDouble to get rid of the BinHex encoding.
So far so good, but after making that change he now sends the files out and one of two things happen:
For one exchange site, three .doc files are sent (two are encoded, one can be opened), along with a .doc.001 file with the same name and another file called <random number>.dtf
Most other test sites we have sent to are receiving two .doc files (one encrypted) and the .dtf file.
I have tried the ini setting:
pcfriendly_attachments=1
and restarted the client (not the OS though), but this hasn't improved the situation.
Any ideas?
-Brendan
