The Rich Text Field is only rendered after the document is saved
That's why you sometimes need to set this in postsave

Here's some psuedocode

sub postsave
is there a field called refreshed
is it 'refreshed'
yes
delete it
no
set your abstracted field value
set refreshed to 'refreshed'
save the doc again
end if
end if
end sub
