Subject: IBM Client Access ODBC prompting for logon on Domino server
Feedback Type: Problem
Product Area: Domino Server
Technical Area: Application Development
Platform: Windows
Release: 8.5.1
Reproducible: Always

I have a Notes application which runs a daily agent to extract data from our AS/400, using the IBM Client Access ODBC driver.

The connection works fine, and data is downloaded as expected.

What we have noticed, however, is that after the Domino server has been rebooted, the next time the agent runs, a logon window appears on the server, prompting for credentials.

Whilst the logon box is waiting for a response, the agent hangs, and also causes other agents to back up behind it.

As soon as credentials are typed in, it continues to run normally, and all subsequent runs of the agent are okay, until the next time the server gets rebooted, when it wants that initial signon again.

The ConnectTo method contains the user ID and password for the connection, so not sure why it wants to prompt for it the first time it runs.

Has anybody else had this problem, or have any ideas how to resolve it?
