I think you are goign to need to concentrate on the server copy

Is the localdomainserver group marked as servers or can you add users to the group?

I wonder if you write a lotusscript that will run on server signed by the server that will change the acl and then you can put your name in the acl might get you access from your client.

I searched on google to see if there is a way of changing the db propety of encrypted so you can write a scheduled agent signed by the server to flip that switch but did not find one but would suggest you look more. There might way calling the notes dlls to accomlish this. Open NTF has a script library to change db properties http://openntf.org/Projects/codebin/codebin.nsf/CodeSearch/0A43C22F85C611D686256EC1002566B5

but did not see encryption in there yet
