Hi, we have a problem in our Web Service where in some of our users cannot call the Web Service while others can. We just found out that the problem is mainly due to Proxy Settings. Those who can access the Web Service has no proxy settings while those who can't have some proxy settings. Note that our Web Services is located in the Web Service Consumer of our Lotus Notes Database and it will be triggered manually bu our users. I coordinate the issue to our Network Admin and they seemed not so aware of such proxy settings in Lotus Notes Web Services, all they said to us is that Port 443 is already open which is the default port for https. Note too that we are accessing https. And when we run the Web Service we encountered this error.
"Web Service WEBSERVICENAME method WEBSERVICEMETHOD error Error connecting to 'urlname.com' on port '443', The server is not responding. The server may be down or you may be experiencing network problems. Contact your system administrator if this problem persists."
Note that this error only occurs to those users who have proxy settings those who don't don't have error and can run the Web Service correctly. Note so sure if the Firewall has something to do with so please advise. Thanks
