I have a database which is linked to 17,000 images from a bespoke imaging package on a shared server. These have been inserted into Notes rich text fields using "Paste Special - Paste Link To Source". This is so that they can be edited in place, and the edits will copy back to the files on the server.
So, using "Edit - External Links" I can inspect the link to make sure it is to the right file for the document, as sometimes people paste the wrong file, or filenames are not changed when product names change etc.
Does anyone know of a programmatic way of extracting the filename (and path if possible) of the external link? I've had a go with DXL, and scraping the filename out of the filedata entry (which mostly works), but in an ideal world I'd like to be able to write a revised link back in.
Any suggestions would be VERY gratefully received :-)
Phil
