How would you use working sets to make it easier or faster to remove apps?

I guess I could create one huge working set, but I'm not sure how it'd help. Having not used working sets.

I tried 'em back when they were released, they just seemed to be hard to set up, consciously deciding to throw something in a working set, at which point I had apps that belonged in multiple working sets & couldn't be sure they were consistently placed. Then I couldn't find a good reason to use the working set in the first place.
