Thanks for your quick response. I have looked in to RFC 2822 compliance and the only required fields are the 'Date' and 'From' fields. If there is multiple addresses in the 'From' field (comma separated), then a 'Sender' field is also required. Below is the headers from the email that bounced back as per original post which looks RFC 2822 complaint to me.
