With Domino 8.5.2 FP2, 64 bit on Windows 2008 64 bit, I can't find any remote command to get Domino to fully shut down for an OS reboot. This is the case using ANY remote control method other than starting up the Server Console locally to tell domino to stop, along with the Server Controller. I have had this problem when stopping the Lotus Domino windows service, or with telling domino to stop remotely from the Domino Administrator client.

In every case domino reports "server shutdown complete" on the local domino console. But after Windows Reboots, most of the console logged entries after the shutdown execution started are not in the log.nsf, and many databases need to be recovered by the transaction logging system. It seems like the final few transactions of the shutdown set of events were never written to disk.

This is a problem. We can't do automated restarts when it behaves like that.
