I'm not sure anyone here will be able to help, but I thought I'd ask anyway.

For the past approximately 4 weeks we are unable to route mail to the rr.com smtp mail servers. We have customers in a number of their domains who we can no longer email (twcny.rr.com, indy.rr.com, hawaii.rr.com, columbus.rr.com) and it appears that the same smtp servers handle all of their inbound mail.

Router: No messages transferred to INDY.RR.COM (host hrndva-smtpin01.mail.RR.COM) via SMTP: The server is not responding. The server may be down or you may be experiencing network problems. Contact your system administrator if this problem persists.

If our senders use an external personal email address there is no issue. Prior to this time we had no issues. I have verified that we are not blacklisted on their website. I also was able to speak to someone who confirmed this but had no access to the mail servers and advised me to send an email (through my personal account) to their info-block@postmaster.rr.com.

I've done this, several times, and have had unsatisfactory responses when I actually do get a response. The last contact a week ago they had escalated it, but I've heard nothing back, nor can I call anyone or email anyone else. I have sent emails to their escalation account inquiring about status and have heard nothing.

I don't know if anyone has any suggestions on how I can resolve this, or provide any kind of alternate contact for them, or if I am just venting.

Thanks for reading. :)

Pam
