Domino Designer on 8.5

While I am not running Vista, I have seen the problem when I've accidentally launched notes.exe (basic) instead nlnotes.exe or I had started my Admin client first. Are you able to start nlnotes (Standard Client) and then go into Designer? Just a thought to check out.
