Wait for DOM ready...

You should probabl wait until the whole page is finished loading before doing the redirect.
It is not trivial to get that working across browsers, so I suggest using a Javascript framework, for example jQuery.
Here is the command:

You should be able to pretty much copy the code from that blog entry as-is...
