I note from the Mail file Preferences that the way that signatures work is changing - one stored signature in the mail file, and no longer a distinction between text and HTML. Applause here.... this is a welcome change
I have questions:
- upgrade: is there an intention to support the old field values until such time as the user changes his preferences, or is there an automatic one-shot migration from the pre 8.5 settings to the new ones? (please the latter)
- is there any reason why it only works when the mail file is opened from an 85 client? It seems to work Ok there, but if I Open the mail file from an 802 client it seems to try to revert to the older method. Is that how it's intended to work?
- what will be the iNotes story: it doesn't work there properly at the moment; If I open the prefereces from there, I get two options, text and RT, and don't see the signature that I entered from the client, or vice-versa. However, the signature that I enter from the web does then seem to work. It looks like it actually holds multiple signatures; please tell me that's not how its going to work?
Thanks
