Subject: Eclipse Plugin: deployment of new versions
Feedback Type: Problem
Product Area: Notes Client

Release: 8.5.2
Reproducible: Always

Hello,

We have developed an Eclipse plugin that we deploy to our users using the Widget Catalog. The plugin is signed, added to the database "Update Site" and the initial installation works perfectly (manual install).

Now we want to send updates to this plugin automatically to users. For example, the user is using version 1.0.0, we update the plugin, the update site and the widget catalog with version 1.0.1 and want this new version to be deployed automatically.

Currently, this does not work automatically. The user must manually replicate its local "widgets Catalog" database with the server for the installation gets under way.

Is it possible to remotely (or by code) add the base "Widget Catalog" in the Replicator for all users, with specific settings?

Otherwise, how to ensure that the deployment of the plugin will be good? We tried a button with LS code and @Formula to force replication but that does not work, only manual intervention "Replication> Replicate ..." gives a result.

Does anyone have any idea?

Thank you,
