After a crash fixup may need to be run on several databases before the Notes Client can start... When you view nlnotes.exe in task manager if it is using CPU you may just need to wait until it completes...
If that doesn't work open a PMR with Lotus Support and they will help you gather information about the bad state of your machine that we should be handling better with error messages and eve better yet self-heal.
