DAOS and Server Side Archiving

DAOS is compelling, and I'm looking for ways to consider bringing in an 8.5 server (when it is released as production). We use Domino's server side archiving (SSA) to keep down the size of our email. So, I'd like to make sure that I have a good understanding for the strength of DAOS.

1. If a mail server was DAOS enabled, and the archive is DAOS enabled, will the archive transfer work to keep the relationship identical on the archive server ? yes. are you using Domino archiving ?

2. Is it possible to have a non-DAOS enable mail server and a DAOS enabled archive server ? So that as documents are transferred to the archive server, the DAOS would be built. absolutely.

We hope to do a Lotusphere session on the effective use of DAOS and discuss exactly these types of scenarios. If you are a Lotusphere attendee you should look for this session (assuming our abstract is accepted)
