Solution found ...

Issue was that Lotus Notes 8.5.2 is not 100% Citrix aware.

Our solution to resolve this:

1) Install Lotus Notes in a multi-user setup.

2) Modify the Lotus Notes shortcut as follows:
Target:...\Notes.exe "=H:\IBM\Lotus\Notes\Data.notes.ini"
(where "H:" is the user's Lotus Notes drive)

3) If wishing to use Lotus Notes in Basic mode, add "UseBasicNotes=1" to the Notes.ini file.

4) For existing shortcut to Lotus Notes, check that the target settings is correct.

Other tips:
1) Do not use the "nlnotes.exe" to force basic mode - doesn't work properly.

2) Do not use the "-basic" or "-sa" to force basic mode - doesn't work properly either.
