Are their plans to fix the access violation problem to Shared data directory due to exclusive locks?

HCL Notes/Domino 8.5 Forum (includes Notes Traveler)

Subject:

As Multi-user installation is the recommended installation type for Lotus Notes, Notes will use a shared data directory for it's templates.
Especially in upgrade scenarios when the users start the new Lotus Notes for the very first time, there is the possibility of access violations due to concurrent access to the core templates (pernames.ntf, bookmark.ntf) because Lotus Notes locks the files exclusively.

Are there plans to fix this problem by changing the way Lotus Notes is accessing the shared directory files?
