Subject: recover encrypted mails
Feedback Type: Question
Product Area: Notes Client
Technical Area: Administration
Platform: Windows XP client
Release: 8.5
Reproducible: Always

Hello,

a notes user has lost his notebook and we didnt have the backup .id file. So i deleted the user from person document, created a new user with new id file and make it owner of user's mail nsf.
But the user told us that he cant open "sent" mails anymore. The message says "you cannot access portions of this document because its encrypted and was not intended for you or you dont have the ecryption key."
I 've found the old id file from very old backups but the user doesnt remember the first password.
Now, i've nsf file and old id file without password. What can i do to make the sent mails to be read? I need your help.
Regards

(* i've upgraded from domino 6.5 to 8.5)
