Subject: IMAP IDLE command still unavailable

Hi all,

As far as we all can see Lotus spent no time to implement the IDLE command for Domino IMAP4 server. This creates issues for those companies that are small and mobile. These companies are basically targeted by new Lotus initiatives like Lotus Domino Express. Those who are looking to implement it _together_ with push email will be quite surprised that Blackberry is just impossible in this case. Don't way BES is an option - it isn't. RIM has their Express server only available for Exchange - it's a great gift for those who have less than 75 users - they can setup a proper Blackberry messaging solution. In Lotus world we have no BES Express and even no IMAP server that supports IDLE - as the result I get emails with at least half an hour delay. Yes, I know about the Traveler and I use it for Nokia but Nokia mail client has some major drawbacks like missing HTML/images support. Also some carriers still offer better tariff plans for Blackberry than for mobile internet. I find this personally a major disadvantage when comparing MS SBS and Domino Express.

Regards,
Alex Zimarev
