I had the same problem, but it occured after update Win 7 x64 with SP1 and higher.

I used the W7 Recovery System, restoring a point before SP1 install . Now works fine!

I`m not sure if the installation of SP1 is the real cause of the problem.
Maybe another available update after the installation of SP1...
