Contacts

OK thanks...but how does one handle putting contacts that are in both personal and public address books. For eg, a user in the public address book does not have a cell number specified, but I want to put them in my phone (with their private cell number). What is best practice for this? Do I just enter them in my personal address book with a different name? What is done by others?
