Subject: GMail EMail Rejection - RFC 2822
Feedback Type: Problem
Product Area: Domino Server
Technical Area: Functionality
Platform: Windows
Release: 8.5.2
Reproducible: Intermittent

Hello,

When some of our clients send email to Gmail accounts, they occasionally bounce back with the following delivery failure error message:

550-5.7.1 [212.219.***.*** 11] Our system has detected that this message is
550-5.7.1 not RFC 2822 compliant. To reduce the amount of spam sent to Gmail, 550-5.7.1
this message has been blocked. Please review 550 5.7.1 RFC 2822 specifications for more
information. l6si5666221wjx.257 - gsmtp

It is sporadic and sometimes messages get through and sometimes they don't. It seems to happen with any GMail account so doesn't appear to be an issue with the end user's mailbox. This problem has only started in the last few days and not been an issue up to now.

Can anyone help or suggest how to start troubleshooting?
