Hello,
Actually, the release was recently upgraded to release 9.0.1 from 8.5.3. My users who were connected to svr01 while using the notes client were prompted that the database was no longer responding, and were asked whether want to connect to another replica of the database. Users on svr02 were not affected. Upon checking, I found svr01 was up and running. The IBM domino server service was indeed started. I ran IBM Domino Administrator to console to svr01, but it responded by prompting message "Connecting to the start up server svr01 failed, the remote system is no longer responding". The problem had been repeatedly occurred within a week. When it first happened, I just restarted the IBM Domino Server service and it worked. In another occasion, I had to restart svr01 in order to make it works. At another time I had to do both restart the server and the service too. Anybody out there know how to solve this problem, could you please share?

Comments: Thank you Tom and Doug for your responses. Nothing was fixed on the server since it last happened and fortunately for me it just did not reoccurred since then (it had been 2 weeks now). Reproduction of the problem to simulate the is not possible, it just happened intermittently out of the blue for that particular week. I may apply the tips by both of you should it happens again and update on the forum. Thanks again.
