Subject: Domino 8.5.3 does not install on Windows 2000 Server
Feedback Type: Problem
Product Area: Domino Server
Technical Area: Install
Platform: Windows
Release: 8.5.3
Reproducible: Always

One of my clients has a few old Window 2000 Server boxes running Domino 8.5.2 FP1.

We could not upgrade them to Domino 8.5.3 due to an error about a coding module could not be found in the kernel32.dll file.

My customer does not want to upgrade Windows boxes due to some proprietary software and financial issues, so I guess they are stuck on Domino 8.5.2 FP1.

I know Domino 8.x is not supported on Win2000 Servers, but all the previous versions allowed upgrades on Win2000. This is strange to finally change it on a point release version.

Anyone else having some same issue or know a workaround?
